Chapter 7 - Chromatic Scales
Chromatic scales include all twelve notes of the scale: Example 40 As the notes of the scale are evenly spaced at the interval of a semitone, from the point of view of fingering, there is only one chromatic scale. (Harmonically speaking, this is not the case, but as we are dealing primarily with pianistic considerations, that need not concern us here). One can of course begin a chromatic scale on any note.
