Arpeggios of the dominant seventh are based on the chord of the dominant seventh, i.e. the root, third, fifth and seventh of the dominant chord. The basic fingering is: 1 2 3 4 Example 56 Note that there are two accepted ways of describing these arpeggios: Example 56 can be described either as a dominant seventh on G or as a dominant seventh in C (i.e. the chord of G7 is the dominant chord in the key of C major).
