Hands separately
I highly recommend regular separate-hand practice for scales and arpeggios, the exercises in the manual are laid out to help you with this. Blocking Working hands separately, blocking practice is a great way to sense the long and short groups in scales. Do it from time to time, especially if you struggle to embed fingerings, or if you want to focus your attention on the thumb under and springy wrist release.
