Harmony - Just One Chord

Improvising with just one chord can be incredibly effective. When you have chosen your one chord, you no longer have to think about notes, so your mind can concentrate on dynamics, tempo, rhythm, texture, sonorities – all the things that make music engaging to the listener. When you watch this video, notice how I use the full range of the piano and notice all the different “voicings” of the chord. Just occasionally, I change the bass note.
