Developing Independence Between the Hands

Using Chopin’s five-finger position, I demonstrate my own easy-to-remember exercise for developing independence between the hands, consisting of combined touches (legato, staccato and two-note slurs). The beginning student can look at the keyboard and concentrate on the activities, since no score reading is necessary.
