Beethoven rounds off the movement with a ten-bar coda, in which we find the repeated-note dotted rhythm from the opening theme now in the left hand. Using the thumb in the left hand allows us to project the line easily. Once again, flexibility in the wrist is vital for technical control of sound and physical coordination at the keyboard.
