It is important to understand as much as possible about the shape and structure of the music, to get inside the mind of the composer so we can follow his train of creative thought. In the next three videos I break down the piece into smallish sections, offering suggestions on pedalling, phrasing, touch and other interpretative decisions the performer needs to make.
