Introduction
Before I get to the various double third exercises, let’s remind ourselves of the main technical requirements involved in playing double note patterns such as these. Alignment Warning! Double note exercises come with a health warning – remember to align the arm behind the pair of fingers that is playing at any given moment. This means the wrist needs to be flexible in adjusting laterally (from side to side).
