Missing Accompaniments (6)

In the Missing Melodies module, we practised playing melodies of famous pieces by ear, with only the left hand written out. In this module, we do the opposite: the melody is written out, while the left hand accompaniment is indicated only by chord symbols. The chord symbols tell us which chords to play, but not what to do with them: how to distribute them between the hands, what kind of texture to use, or what rhythm to play the accompaniment in. For this reason, it would be more accurate to say that we are playing “by mind”...
