The Melody

In our next score, the right hand melody is given almost complete (only the grace notes have been removed). The left hand has been reduced to the essential bass line to make it easier to concentrate on the right hand, and to feel the influence of the bass line on the melody without the added complication of the accompanying notes. Practise Notes The suggested fingering is designed to avoid heaviness on the repeated notes (bars 1, 3, 5, etc.).
