Left Hand: The melody is, of course, in the left hand. Project the line with a solid forte tone but don’t forget to give it shape. You will probably find the climax of the phrase is around the top F in bar 2. Try singing the melody, making up your own words to it if you like. Here are two alternative fingerings for the left hand. If you prefer the upper fingering, see if you can slide the thumb from the Bb to the A (3rd beat).
