The new ABRSM piano examination syllabus for 2025 & 26 is now available! As with previous syllabuses, we will be creating a collection of resources featuring walk-throughs of repertoire selections from all grades. In the meantime, Graham Fitch will be presenting a set of online workshops as a preview in which he will give insights on learning, interpreting and practising pieces from elementary, intermediate and advanced grades.
Workshop sessions & content
The workshops are divided into three separate sections (all times are listed in London / British Summer Time) featuring the following works:
Burgmüller: Tarantella: No. 20 from 25 études faciles et progressives, Op. 100
Schubert: Waltz in B Minor (No. 6 from Waltzer, Ländler und Ecossoisen, D. 145)
JS Bach: Invention No. 14 in Bb, BWV 785
Komitas Vardapet: Shushiki (No. 4 from Dances)
These sessions will be particularly useful for exam candidates and teachers, but also of interest to any pianists looking for repertoire ideas using the syllabus as a guide. As with all of our online workshops, the sessions will be recorded therefore you can watch the recordings at your convenience even if you can't join us live!
